Current Treasurer of the Henley and Thame Conservatives Association and District Councillor candidate in 2023, Julian was brought up and lives in the South Oxfordshire village of Stoke Row, a stone’s throw away from the division of Benson and Crowmarsh, where he is standing for election.
Julian is active in the community, contributing to the development of the local neighbourhood plan and acting Trustee/Chair of a local charity. Like many residents, he is appalled by the dangerous state of the roads & drains, and if elected would campaign against many of the anti-car & traffic measures that the Lib-Dem/Green-controlled County Council is seeking to implement. He would like the County Council to be more fair in its representation and support of the towns and villages around the County and believes Councillors should focus entirely on local issues for the benefit of local residents and tax payers, and not waste precious funds on climate issues beyond their control.
