Jane has always lived in this area being born in Cholsey and then raised her children and living in Didcot for over 30 years, during which time she also started a business in Didcot. Jane now lives in South Moreton and she is proud to say that one of her grandchildren is now attending Lydalls Nursery as the third generation of her family to do so.
She is a keen bowler and play at both East Hagbourne and Didcot Bowls Club, loves walking the dogs and have just taken up golf but with four grandchildren living close by she has been able to help with childminding them which is a joy.
As Jane's company has grown this has allowed me to take more of an interest in trying to influence how the area and our community develops. Recently she have helped with the Covid support Group for South Moreton and has been lucky enough to be able to help as a vaccine warden at the Civic Hall which she has found particularly rewarding.
Jane works hard to make sure that the residents of Didcot and the surrounding villages get recognised for needing infrastructure, having grown so much, along with helping residents in villages fight to keep their green spaces, particular in East and West Hagbourne and currently she is working on a project to help bring fast broadband to all houses in the villages she represent, with more people working from home she feels this is essential for all rural areas.
