Ben Mabbett was raised in Grove, attending Millbrook Primary School before going to St Birinus School Didcot where he developed his passion for politics at A-level. After completing an apprenticeship at Oxfordshire County Council Ben went on to work for the Health & Social Care watchdog Healthwatch Oxfordshire and then into the private sector for a local air conditioning company.
As a Wantage Town, Vale District and Grove Parish Councillor, Ben has worked in these roles at different points to serve and improve our community. Ben was part of the team that brought back control of planning to the Vale, secured funding for 4 new schools in Wantage and Grove, revived the Beacon, installed the Wantage Christmas lights, organised community events such as the Queens 90th Birthday Celebrations and Armed Forces Day and much more. As councillor for Grove North Ward on Vale of White Horse District Council he wants to use his experience and passion for our community to make Grove & Wantage an even better place to live.
