Nicola Blackwood

Radley Lakes Saved

Nicola Blackwood, Conservative parliamentary candidate for Oxford West & Abingdon was delighted that after years of uncertainty and campaigning a decision has finally been reached by NPower and Waste Recycling Group.

NPower have agreed that they will no longer need Thrupp Lake as the dumping ground for their surplus ash.

Nicola Blackwood said, “It has taken a long time, but finally NPower have made the right decision. The Radley Lakes are a local beauty spot and an integral part of the community. Saving Radley Lakes is something everyone no matter which area they were from or which political party they supported agreed on. The response from people on the doorstep and in the street has been overwhelming, it really is heartening to see an entire community come out fighting for what they believe in and I am thrilled that I could be part of it.”
