John Howell MP

Henley Town Council to quiz John Howell MP

Henley’s MP, John Howell, will have his first formal meeting with the town council on Wednesday 17 September at the town hall. The meeting will take the form of a question and answer session.

Councillors have already raised over 15 questions which they would like to discuss with the MP during the meeting. These cover issues such as:

Townlands Hospital
refuse collection
the future of post offices
funding to maintain Henley’s roads
delegating more powers to the town council to run the town
Gillott's school
key worker housing
a third river crossing

John Howell said:
“I’m looking forward to this. I’ve already shown I’m the sort of MP who rolls up his sleeve and gets stuck in.
The issues raised are all important. I’m looking for a good, constructive relationship with the town council which will benefit the town and the surrounding area.”
