Oxfordshire County Council Conservatives

The ultimate pub trivia quiz party

In a stinging rebuke at today’s council meeting, the Liberal-Democrats were described as the ultimate pub trivia quiz party.

The county is facing major challenges such as the reduction by the government of our transport grant by £6.5m, the pressures caused by an increasingly older population and the need to make sure we are well placed to maintain our role in the world economy.

Yet the Liberal-Democrats were unable to lift their sights above bureaucratically seeking to force council staff to change the way they go to work, seeking to ban bottled water, and pursuing a phantom network of highway security cameras.

Criticising the Liberal-Democrats during the meeting, Cllr John Howell, the cabinet member for change management said:

“What we now see clearly is that the Liberal-Democrat opposition on this council has become nothing more than the ultimate pub trivia quiz team.”
